Where should you store your dry-cleaned and preserved wedding gown?
Your wedding gown preservation box should be stored in a cool, dark, and dry environment. It’s extremely important to remember not to store your wedding gown near wet areas of your home, such as your bathroom, kitchen, and laundry.
DJ’s Bridal recommends checking your wedding gown periodically. Please remember that your skin contains oils and salts that can damage delicate fabrics. It’s strongly recommended to use white cotton gloves when handling your wedding gown; these are available at leading supermarkets.

DJ's Bridal set price
DJ’s Bridal has a set price of $299 incl. GST to dry clean and preserve your wedding gown, excluding silk, removable skirts, attachments, trains longer than three meters, and glitter gowns. Please get in touch with DJ’s Bridal for a quote if your wedding gown includes any of these exclusions.
Why have a set price?
A set price for all wedding gowns is easier for our clients than taking your wedding gown to various dry cleaners to get a quote that might be out of your budget.
Why does DJ's Bridal have exclusions?
Wedding gowns that contain silk, glitter, or require a double preservation box require an experienced dry cleaner due to the delicate nature of the fabric and the additional time it takes to dry clean.
Do you need to dry-clean your veil to preserve it with your wedding gown?
Yes, veils must be dry cleaned before preservation, as there may be perfume or hairspray you cannot see that could damage your veil and wedding gown over time if left uncleaned.
Does DJ's Bridal offer postal service?
Yes, DJ’s Bridal also offers a postal service for brides outside our collection area. Contact DJ’s Bridal for more information about this service.
How does DJ's Bridal preserve your wedding gown?
DJ’s Bridal preserves wedding gowns in a standard white preservation box and wraps them in acid-free tissue paper for long-term storage.
DJ’s Bridal offers options to upgrade your preservation box; these options will be provided after we inspect your wedding gown (to determine the correct size for your wedding gown).
How long does the process take?
DJ’s Bridal QLD is between four and eight weeks; NSW is between eight and ten weeks. Postage is between four and eight weeks. If you require your wedding gown urgently, please contact DJ’s Bridal.
Does DJ's Bridal dry clean silk wedding gowns?
Yes, DJ’s Bridal specialise in silk. Silk is a very delicate material and must be handled only by experienced dry cleaners.

What happens after you book your wedding gown in for dry cleaning and preservation with DJ's Bridal?
DJ’s Bridal will provide a date and time for collection. After we collect your wedding gown, DJ’s Bridal will photograph it, send you the before-and-after photos, and offer the option to upgrade your preservation box (if applicable).
DJ’s Bridal will expertly dry clean and preserve your wedding gown in the preservation box you choose. DJ’s Bridal will send you the final photos and delivery information. DJ’s Bridal will deliver your wedding gown.
Why do DJ's Bridal have set days and times for pickup and delivery?
DJ’s Bridal offers a free pickup and delivery service for our customers in our collection area.
DJ’s Bridal believes it’s extremely important to keep our service affordable, and having set days and times ensures we can continue to offer quality wedding gown dry cleaning and preservation at an affordable price.
Metal Components & Metallic Embroidery
Some wedding gowns may feature embroidery containing metallic fibres or threads, commonly referred to as Lurex, metallic filament, silver thread or metallic embroidery thread. These materials may naturally tarnish, oxidise, discolour or deteriorate over time.
Certain beads, embellishments, fastenings and decorative components may also contain metal. Over time, these components may be susceptible to oxidation, tarnishing, corrosion or rust, which can occur due to the inherent nature and composition of the materials.
While every reasonable care is taken when cleaning and preserving your gown, DJ’s Bridal cannot prevent or predict the future deterioration of metallic fibres or components. Accordingly, DJ’s Bridal accepts no liability for tarnishing, oxidation, corrosion, rust, discolouration or other deterioration of metallic threads, beads, embellishments or components.
